RINA and SDARI to develop ground-breaking methanol/ammonia fuelled tanker design
We have signed an agreement with the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute to develop a ground-breaking #shipdesign capable of being fuelled by either ammonia or methanol.
This project is the first to investigate using both fuels in a tanker vessel and will increase understanding of the application of #alternativefuels within the shipping industry. MAN Energy Solutions, a leader in dual fuel innovation, will provide external support to the project.
